WHEREAS Crime is perceived as being on the rise in our land, AND Citizens should have the right to defend themselves against armed criminals THEREFORE The RLP proposes to allow the purchase and owneership of private firearms with certain restrictions: 1) No one with a history of violent criminality will be allowed to own firearms 2) No one with a history of dangerous mental illness will be allowed to own firearms 3) No one under the age of majority will be allowed to own firearms |

Old value:: Adult individuals may not own firearms unless professionally required.
Current: Adult individuals are allowed to own and purchase guns freely.
Proposed: Individuals are allowed to own firearms as long as they do not have a history of dangerous mental illness or a violent criminality.
