Bill: Religious Articals
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kanjoran Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2156
Description[?]:
I think the current law against wearing religious articals while serving a political position is unnecessary. If I were christian and wanted to wear a crucafix while being in office, then why should I not be allowed to do so? It's not like the crucafix would be influencing my decision. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The state's policy concerning religious clothing.
Old value:: Public officials are not allowed to wear religious symbols while exercising their duties.
Current: Wearing religious clothing or religious symbols in public is illegal.
Proposed: There are no laws regulating the wearing of religious clothing and the wearing of religious symbols.

Message | Simply beacuse it gives members of other religous groups grounds for complaint if your actions displease them. In addition it may cause a member of another group to be afraid of discrimination from you. That said these reasons are very weak, and as such we shall vote in favour. |
