MessageHow is it outrageous to stop private corporations undermining our post office by trying to steal its most profitable operations? The public post office is vital to ensuring all communities an equality of service and we believe it must be protected through this measure.

MessageHow exactly does this involve stealing people's money? Is that not however the entire aim of capitalist corporations? A publicly-run service, by contrast, aims to provide the best service at the lowest possible cost in order to benefit ordinary people.

MessageYou clearly stated that you do noy want private postal services because it would steal the governments profits! See here: "How is it outrageous to stop private corporations undermining our post office by trying to steal its most profitable operations". You are jealous of the private sector!

MessageUsually when private companies get involved in the postal service they focus on the more profitable operations like commercial deliveries while ignoring less profitable (and often loss-making) parts like the delivery of private mail. The public postal service has an obligation to deliver private mail at a low cost to even the most remote communities and if they cannot fund this through more profitable operations - because these are being undermined by private competitors - then it is likely to fall into debt and require to be bailed out through government funds. We believe it is unfair, damaging, and costly to the state if private companies can try to siphon off the best parts of the postal service while not being under the same obligation to provide a decent and equal service to all communities throughout Kazulia.

MessageWe support the full co-operatisation of the postal business, but not its nationalisation.

MessageThis is the only option available however if our democratic workers' council bill passes then the post office will indeed be run democratically by its workers. We believe nationalisation is better from a democratic perspective since at least there will be some democratic oversight of the post office (since it will be accountable to elected politicians) as opposed to having some private company run by unelected shareholders.
