Message | Why do we choose who is our head of government when it should be the people's choice? I say the HoS shall also be the HoG so that way the people directly elect their leader, not the indiviual parties and their coalitions. |

Message | Disagree, a person who will make the best HoG has different qualities then the best HoS. A HoG is a manager who can organize the cabinet and get them to work together, while a HoS is a person who provides direction to the nation, handles diplomacy well and is a good representative of the nation. Mearge them and you will lose the difference and at best end up with one person who is ok at both, rather then two people who are very good at their respective jobs. |

Message | And whats to say parties won't just pick a HoS because they vote similar and not based on candidate quality? |

Message | The party choice will already be voting similiarly to the party since they are in the party. Since usually the HoG goes to the largest party in government, it will make sense to pick the best person for the job so the country has a good couple of yrs and the party gets re-elected. If they put in someone who cannot do the job they will pay for it in the next elections. |
