Message | It is strange that the right-wing parties would prefer to have a TV and radio station directly run by the government as opposed to being run by an independent cooperative funded by government. Surely the current system is more in keeping with an independent media characterised by as little state control as possible? With regards to all the other proposals VG naturally disagrees. |

Message | This policy change would decrease the number of TV or radio stations funded by the government from an unspecified amount to one single station, greatly easing the financial burden. The national TV or radio station can still be an independent organization that only reports on the political affairs of the capitol. Are there any articles that Retsforbundet would be willing to compromise upon in the future? I will still put this bill up to debate but in the case that it does not pass, we will likely reintroduce specific proposals as new bills. Cecilie Dagestad (IL) Statsminister av Riksrådet |

Message | Mr Speaker, If Cecilie Dagestad would like to reduce the amount of subsidized TV and radio stations she should try to stop Kazulia in subsidizing them, Retsforbundet will surely support such articles and this could bring this bill closer towards passing. If Cecilie changed these articles to "All television media are private" and "All radio stations are private" and removed the article concerning the government policy on industry and subsidies to industrial operations, the article concerning energy regulation and the article concerning the nation's defence industry then we could reach an agreement. Retsforbundet would therefore compromise on the bill concerning national health care policy and we would ensure that the government does not decide what is absolutely necessary to be told on an everyday basis, I am talking about the media of course. I hope that Cecilie will accept these terms and make an agreement. Jenny Maria Jørgensen (R) Education and Culture Minister Retsforbundet's Political Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, Retsforbundet will not support a government which is refusing to cooperate with their coalition partner on matters that are as important as these, we will therefore leave the government if this bill is passed and try to pass an early election bill. Jenny Maria Jørgensen (R) Minister of Education & Culture Political Leader of Retsforbundet |

Message | Ms. Jørgensen, We unfortunately brought this bill to a vote before your helpful suggestions were seen. The second bill with similar proposals was our attempt to create a compromise as we did not expect this bill to pass. I personally would like continue the alliance between the Indigo League and Retsforbundet and in no way meant to ignore our coalition partner, but if we must part ways then so be it. Considering that elections occur in half a year, it may be more advisable not to propose an early election bill however.
