Message | This is socialized medicine. It will lead to a Government controlled MONOPOLY over healthcare. It will lead to rationing. |

Message | Mr Speaker, That is just typical CWF scaremongering. This Bill will provide the people of Rutania with the free health care that they have a right to, while maintaining a private element. It is an excellent Bill, which we will be supporting. Donna Parson, Health and Social Services |

Message | Mr Speaker, I must say I agree with the Solidarity party. Healthcare is a human right, and the position of the Capitalists shows their anti-humanitarian nature. They also show a clear ignorance as to what socialisation means. And now I ask them, as well as the people - which would your rather be dependent on: a government you elect yourself taking care of you, or people taking care of you because it's profitable? Capitalists often fail to see that a laissez-faire economy is a far greater prison for the common man than a democratic, humanitarian goverment. Ronald Williams, Alliance leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Rutania is a nation founded on Capitalist tendencies and will remain as such as long as we are here. Our health system is more than able to function based on the current system and we see no need to change it. On another note, this bill is the first step toward establishing a socialist government in the country. I ask our new colleagues and the WSM if they are so bent on forcing socialism on a group of people, they consider moving to Ikradon. James McCann UPR Congressional Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, The Hon Gentleman from the UPR has an odd definition of socialism if he thinks this Bill is the first step towards a socialist government. I remember that he called our perfectly reasonable and sensible public service reforms a "first step towards Socialism" too. So many first steps, Mr Speaker, it's almost as though the Hon Gentleman is being alarmist! This Bill is not a socialist take-over. This Bill is giving people the right to the health care they deserve. Secondly, Mr Speaker, this party is not "forcing" anything on anyone. I remind him that we have just had an election, in which more people voted for my party than for any other. The people have registered their desire for a change away from the "capitalist tendencies", which the Hon Gentleman's party seem to cling to only out of tradition, and continue to register their displeasure with the present state at every election. The people want government for the people, not for the corporate paymasters of the Right! Frank McConnell, General Secretary and Parliamentary Leader of Solidarity |
