Bill: Decentralization of Alcohol and the Wet and Dry Categorization Act of 2013 AD

Details

Submitted by[?]: States' Rights Democratic Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3482

Description[?]:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the regulation of alcohol be granted back unto the people of Sekowo, for each subdivision and city to elect for itself whether to allow or deny all forms of alcoholic products.

Subdivisions shall report themselves as one of the following categories, and then shall subsequently regulate alcohol as they desire fit:

1. WET: "Wet" localities permit some, or any, form of alcohol to be sold. Wet localities may regulate alcohol content or prohibit certain forms of the drug, but by nature are seen to "let the taps flow", which means that they allow its sale.

2. MOIST: "Moist" localities allow their cities to be "wet" or "dry" within their purview, but themselves are "dry" in unincorporated lands, meaning that only cities can sell alcohol, should they desire.

3. DRY: "Dry" localities prohibit the sale of alcohol within its purview, but not the consumption therein. Should a citizen of a "dry" area purchase alcohol in a "wet" area and return to consume it, no locality may elect to bar the free flow of commerce.

The national government shall be obligated to enforce the provisions of each locality as they see fit.
