Message | It should be noted that this tax cut merely balances the Hutori budget... We had been running an annual surplus of almost 300,000,000 HLR. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I demand to know what the CNR has against responsible government running a surplus. If such a surplus exists, then that must mean it is not doing enough to provide for its citizens, and more needs to be spent, not retracted. We must vote no. Dr. Edison O'Brien, MPP. Message | Mr. Speaker, The CNR has nothing against surpluses per se, in fact the proposed tax cut would still result in a surplus. However this country is currently running a budget with a surplus just above 250 Billion Hutori Lira. To put that into perspective this is larger than the revenues of our lowest tax bracket and the revenues from corporation tax combined... In short it's a ridiculously large surplus. So to answer your question Dr. O'Brien we of the CNR propose a tax cut because we want to put some of this money back into the hands of our people. Why do the ULF want to take money from hard working Hutorians when the we don'y even know what to do with it? Ludwig Glaeser, Minister of Finance |
