Bill: Unabhängige Sozialkonservative Manifesto (4): Administration

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unabhängige Sozialkonservative Partei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3488

Description[?]:

As part of the Unabhängige Sozialkonservative Partei's election preparations, a series of bills have been drafted illustrating the new party's manifesto commitments. This is the fourth bill, and concerns the nature of governmental administration and conduct within the United Imperial Crownlands.

1. Multiple citizenship should (of course) be allowed, but registration allows the government to record the nature of its citizens' citizenship in a non-intrusive way.
2. This continues on from Article 1, and can be used in determining the most effective policies for particular groups across the country.
3. A shorter term seems logical in an age where party majorities swing widely and coalitions (whilst necessary) are largely unrepresentative of the country's will.
4. A reduction in the number of seats can only be a positive aspect of our democracy.

MessageThe HDV remains opposed to the meaningless and harmful symbolism that is cutting the number of members of the Reichstag. As we see it, the geographical and human diversity of the Crownlands require the current high number of representatives to ensure the proper representation that is so important in our democratic system.

We also believe racial and religious registration brings diversity to the fore in the wrong way, as we continue to endeavour for policies that bind us closer together, rather than separate us, in the spirit of Septembrism. Anything that could return policy administration to a particularistic focus on separate population groups should be approached with caution. A census, however, would be for universal benefit and we would support such a move, as we have also always supported localism where such is necessary.

MessageThe USP believes that our intent to reduce the number of seats can only be a positive contribution to our democracy, but in the failure of this bill will propose a separate census that the HDV can feel pleased to support!
