We feel that the people should have access to the government and what it is doing, since however it can be dull at times, it is unreasonable to expect private companies to carry such debates and votes. Therefore the government should provide outlets for the Assembly's actions to be visible to the public.

MessageIn addition in times of national crisis it would be good to have a point where the people can get the government's message without the need of commandeering private networks.

MessageTotally against, the only countries that feel the need to banned private media, and radio are communist or facist.

MessageIf this is saying that practically all stations are private, with the exception of 1 which is funded by the goverment (IE PBS in the US), then I could support.

But, if its saying that all stations are funded by the government, then I have to oppose.

MessageThis bill creates one nationally funded tv and radio station (OOC: like the BBC or PBS). The other stations remain private thus are not banned in any manner. As stated we are doing this so that there is no need to force private stations to broadcast messages they do not want to to get information out, and to provide a more transparent government. If the Assembly does not like the light jazz for the evenings we are willing to change it to classical or nature sounds if they wish, or even leave it to the management of the station.
