Whereas: All citizens should be prepared to enter the employment arena at some point in their lives AND
What is learned in youth will remain into adulthood AND
Realizing that youth is a time for all forms of education, both scholarly and otherwise;

THEREFORE :
It is proposed that the youth of our nation be allowed to participate in the labor force in a limited manner, allowing for the necessity of scholarly education and personal development.

Youth under the age of 12 shall not be employed; except in family owned businesses employing less than 5 people
Youth between the ages of 12 and 16 shall be allowed to be employed for no more than 10 hours per week, shall not be allowed to be work between the hours of 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM during the times school is not in session, and 9:00PM and 4:00 PM if school is in session.
Youth between the ages of 16 and 18 shall be allowed to be employed for no more than 20 hours per week, shall not be allowed to be work between the hours of 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM during the times school is not in session, and 9:00PM and 4:00 PM if school is in session.
No one under the age of 18 shall be allowed to be employed in any hazardous occupations, nor in any capacity which allows them to prepare or serve alcohol.
