He is notable for his advocacy for a stronger justice system, continuing the line of his longtime predecessor. EMILIE VON METTEN - Trade and Industry The granddaughter of HDV grandee Hosianne Schäfer-von Metten is the youngest member of the HDV frontbench at age 32. A teacher by profession, Von Metten previously held leadership positions within the HDJV, the party's youth wing and the HBH/KGSK teacher's union. Before being drafted to run for her grandmother's old stomping grounds in Labsburg Sankt Martinus, Von Metten was, for 2 years, a representative of her union on the governing body of the Föderation Hosianische Gewerkschaftsbund (FHG), one of the two peak organisations of the unions in the Crownlands. YAN DE WET - Food and Agriculture One of many Mitranian HDV politicians to come from mixed stock, Yan de Wet comes from a family of mixed Gao-Showan/Mitranian Hulstrian heritage. One of the notoriously conservative HDV members from the orange heartland's rural areas, De Wet's diplomatic prudence has saved him from being relegated to the backbenches.
