Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: "Lodamun" From the peaks Kalistani to the Lindar wide As the sun rises brightly Lodamese hearts fill with pride Five nations together united not by war or cohersion but choice May our men ne'er again stand divided - no! As we loudly cry with one voice; LO-DA-MUN! From those lofty Kregon heights To the Rapulan Forest below Lay honored dead who fought with might Scarred enemies know: LO-DA-MUN! Strengthened by adversity Forged in the flame In all our diversity together we proclaim LO-DA-MUN! God Save the Union!
Current:
O, Lodamun Rejoice, brothers and sisters Children of our glorious land May we restrain our resistors Their resistance we disband No foe I fear, no friend I force We propagate wholeheartedly No single feeling of Remorse affects our fraternity All the weapons of this earth Could not temper our pride Lodamun, for what it's worth Your sacred grounds we abide O, Republic that is ours Our lives are in your hands We shall maintain with all our powers Your glory, with proud stance. |
Proposed:
War is beautiful because—thanks to its gas masks, its terrifying megaphones, its flame throwers, and light tanks—it establishes Man’s domination over the subjugated machine. War is beautiful because it inaugurates the dreamed-of metallization of the human body. War is beautiful because it enriches a flowering meadow with fiery orchids of machine guns. War is beautiful because it combines gunfire, barrages, cease fires, scents, and the fragrance of putrefaction into a symphony. War is beautiful because it creates new architectures, like those of armored tanks, geometric squadrons of aircraft, spirals of smoke from burning villages, and much more. War is beautiful because my nation demands it so, Lodamun Lodamun Lodamun! |

Message | This new proposed National Anthem is an insult to the Fendon Party. Quite frankly it stands for everything that my party does not stand for. Lodamun should be a nation that stands for abolishing all forms of war and acts of aggression. Since when has war ever been a beautiful thing that should be praised by political parties? This bill to change the national anthem is quite frankly an insult, as it tries to promote war as a positive occurrence that should be celebrated... Try telling that to the billions who have fallen in battle over the last couple thousand years. A strong and passionate NO. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
