Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

| Dear members of parliament, It is clear to us that the Ponetsian people have chosen to believe in an inclusive multicultural society and has rejected the parties loyal t the Belknap dynasty, who took power in a bloody coup against a democratic government. We are not here for the sake of revenge though, but for justice, and for serving our people. Though we do not seek to make old wounds clear again, it is clear that the current constitution is undemocratic and lacks legitimacy, and that the Belknap's have no right to rule. We will therefore propose the disestablishment of the Empire and it's rebirth as the Realm of Pontesi (Kns Pnte in Pntek), as the nation was known as at it's conception. Pontesi will once again be a republic. We will also propose a new motto and a new anthem to reflect the inclusiveness and the multicultural character of our country. We are open for discussion, and everything we are proposing are subject to change, though we are not open to threats or fascist conspiracy theories. | Message | Mr. Speaker, This bill will only re-open old wounds. I would not be surprised if it causes civil war it is so divisive. The party proposing this bill has no respect for Pontesi, her history, her culture or her people. It is nothing but a fringe minority that will drag our country back to the dark old days. The Pontesian Imperial Party, with the support of the One Nation Conservative Party, vows to fight for Pontesian interests and will restore the monarchy and the Pontesian democratic system at the earliest opportunity. | Message | OOC: We do have a 2/3 majority. You imperialist parties have less than 100 out of 300 seats. It's relatively easy to count with such numbers, isn't it. ;) Mr. Speaker, I am afraid that it is the honourable gentleman from the Pontesian Imperial Party that has no respect for Pontesi, her history, her culture or her people. For 69% of them voted explicitly against the Belknap regime, and vowed to create a liberal, tolerant, inclusive and multicultural society. We are the ones fighting for "Ponetsian interests". I will also fear that some - some fascists - will drag our nation back to the dark old days. For it would not be the first time they started a civil war, or led a violent coup, or a genocide, against a democratic government for the sake of mere symbolism.
