MessageWe believe that all who complete their education should give back to the nation, which has given them so much. Whether the individual wishes to enlist in the volunteer Telamonian armed forces or instead choose to work a term in the civil service. The civil service, as we all know since we employ individuals within it, helps Telamon to accomplish the daily tasks necessary for its continued growth and operation.

We also strongly believe it to be important for necessary shelters to exist for use should our nation ever come under attack. Thankfully we are a peaceful nation, under no threat, and a threat to none.

The Conservative Ordo Malleus would rather local authorities to construct and maintain shelters so that they can determine the need of those in their communities. The Telamonian Parliament can, instead, maintain our budget as a reasonable level and use funds for things such as education, scientific advancement, and medical care.

As such, we wish to work with the LiberalDemocrats party to insure the passage of Article 2 in the proposed Military Revoke and Modernization Act. Yet, we cannot support articles 1 and 3 as written.

Is there some common ground that we may find? Perhaps the local authorities can determine the needs and maintain the shelters while the central Telamonian Parliament can fund the initial construction or help defray the cost of initial constructoin?

Messagethe liberaldemocrats propose that we change article one in a form that civil services are needed, but military services not that much, and we will scrap article 3

MessageAt this time there is no threat to Telamon. We are blessed to live in a time of peace and prosperity. We agree to pass this bill as proposed:

Article 1: Homosexuality is allowed in the military.

Article 2: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term of civilian national service.

There is one stipulation to our support. Should the need arise, this legislative body will immediately, and without controversy nor amendments, agree to institute the below law:

All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.

Are we under agreement?

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
