MessageMr Speaker,

I and my party agree with this proposal. Identity cards will reduce, for example, alcohol selling to children, because they will have to show their identity card when buying it. We will also increase safety in emergencies, for example: if we have an accident; fireworkers will recognise our identity more easily. And if our wallet or handbag is lost or stolen, it can be given back more easily. I can only see advantages.

Lindsey Matt,
DU Internal Affairs responsible.

Mr. Speaker,

In the Commonwealth of Rutania, there is no need for a "national" ID card b/c the LOCAL provinces handles that responsibility. So, if a citizen loses his/her wallet, they ALREADY have a Provincial ID and/or Drivers' License.

MessageMr Speaker,

The member of the CWF is mistaken. There is no provincial scheme.

Even if there were, a national scheme means that, to use one of DU's examples, an alcohol retailer need not be confused by many different forms of identity cards.

OOC: Correct, DU, the CWF is just making that up to strengthen their argument. They don't seem to realise that making things up makes one less convincing, not more.
