Bill: Free Market & Affordable Housing Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3502
Description[?]:
To the Distinguished members of the Parliament: While we are a Pro-Capitalist party, we understand that society needs a social safety net because some citizens are not fortunate enough to afford private housing. Therefore, we will abstain from this bill by supporting legislation that allows the State to enter into a PRIVATE (Free Market) Contract with housing developers that if they charge a lower housing cost, they can receive a tax abatement from local property taxes. Message | To Sarah Bender, DU Spokeswoman: Under the provisions of the bill, the State buys up land and sells it to private developers at a cheap price. Then, the state enters into a private contract with those developers that if they charge low housing rates like at 500 RUT per month, then they receive a property tax abatement and other credits. --Buke Wigwe, Minister of Trade & Industry OOC: read the Wikipedia article. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
