| In the interests of security and public reassurance, we hereby reaffirm that the "Potato", a staple crop of Deltaria apon which the vast majority of the population relies for sustenance and livelihood, is not illegal, nor are there any plans to make them illegal in the foreseeable future. Furthermore, we do hereby denounce any individual or organisation who would attempt to outlaw the growing, sale, possession or consumption of the "Potato" in our beloved Empire. This is our pledge to the good people of Deltaria, and we call on all members of the Rada to stand with us and state clearly that the eating of potatoes in Deltaria is not, and never will be a crime. |

| Message | We find it outrageous that the Gentle Sirs of the Syzygy would equate the occasional potato dish showing up at one of their lavish banquets with the incomprehensible evils of slavery. Perhaps the Syzygy highborn can afford to gorge on nothing but fattened peacock tongues and sturgeon eggs, but to the common man of Deltaria, the potato is the very foundation of continued existence. But we in the Streltsy are simple men, who value simple pleasures and a simple lifestyle. We vow to the smallfolk of Deltaria that we will do everything in our power to prevent the Syzygy from outlawing the humble potato, and we call on all our esteemed colleagues to follow in suit. |
