Message | Dear Ms. Norma Schieber, DU Spokesman: In Rutania, only 1/3rd of all of the private schools are run by a for-profit worker cooperative. The 66% of the private schools are run by NON-profit religious churches like the Catholic Church and the Protestant Church. Besides, what is WRONG with a for-profit school system b/c it is the INCENTIVE to make a higher profit that makes ALL of the schools improve educational quality and standards. The average graduation rate in the public schools is 30% while in Catholic schools it is over 90%. --Buka Wigwe, Minister of Trade & Industry |

Message | Honourable Minister Wigwe, Capitalism is a good system, theorically. The same as communism, or even anarchism. They are good as ideas, but when you try to implement them, they never work as expected. There has to be a bit of regulation, a bit of government intervention, to make a political ideology effective. Norma Schieber, DU Education & Culture spokeswoman OOC: It isn't fair that you invent all these statistics to enforce your arguments, don't you think? |
