Bill: Infrastructure Deregulation
Details

Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3507
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, we propose to clear the infrastructure sector from remaining unnecessary government interference. Firstly, the continued subsidization of transportation is unneeded, we should let the market forces and competition do their work and drive prices down. Secondly, we should remove government regulations on private post offices, as we have done in other sectors. Thirdly, we should introduce private-public partnerships to the firefighting service to make use of the benefits of lower costs and higher efficiency. Message | Mr. Speaker, if this Bill passes, Dranish citizens in remote areas will lose access to postal services, making them dangerously isolated. Also, millions of citizens will be unable to afford to travel to work, do their shopping and visit their friends. And Dranish citizens will choke and burn to death whilst the fire service puts private profit ahead of public safety. Leticia Saldanas MP Minority Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, the desire for profit is a much more effective motivation to provide excellent service than some vague, government-decreed "general good". A leftist, blinded by his utopian fanatism, might not be able to recognize that, but that doesn't affect the validity of that fact. Secondly, I am sure people in remote areas will be able to set up own facilities to maintain mail deliverance - people are perfectly capable of solving their own problem without the goverment nannying them at every step. As for people not being able to visit their friends etc., we do not see this problem at all. Thanks to our recent deregulations, the costs of living will fall in all areas and people will actually have more money to spend on things like those the Minority Leader is worrying about. Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
