Bill: Freedom to Travel & Diplomacy Enhacement Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3507
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, there is no reason to investigate the reasons of our citizens to travel abroad. We should not waste resources for putting citizens under general suspicion. We therefore propose to end all regulations on the freedom to travel. Secondly, we wish to allow any foreign nation to establish an embassy in Dranland - diplomacy is always beneficial and can be highly effective in preventing conflicts with other nations. It makes sense to have a local representative of all foreign nations in Dranland, so that we can directly discuss any potential issues with that official on behalf of our nation and the government of the respective foreign nation. Gwendolyn Hayforth-Breckinridge MP Member for Ulbrach RFR Foreign Affairs Spokeswoman |

Message | Mr. Speaker, the lady with the ridiculously long-winded, hyphenated name seems to forget that if we allow every single government in Terra to establish an embassy in Dranland, then we risk giving opportunities to governments who wish to commit terrorist atrocities against us. She also forgets that if we give passports to dodgy criminal types, then overseas government will begin to distrust Dranland and distrust the Dranish passport. Leticia Saldanas MP Minority Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker, I will resist the temptation to lecture the Hon. "Lady" about basic politeness, which includes not to attack political opponents over trivialities such as family names. I will certainly not pull an Overstraten and engage in a feud with her over such silliness. I wish to remind the Hon. Lady that there is a big difference between caring for national security and putting anyone under general suspicion. If there is any evidence about criminal intentions from whatever side, we have the capacities to intervene and stop any sucht thing. The stark difference between my part and that of the Minority Leader is that we regard people's activities as legitimate as long as there is no evident proof for the opposite. Message | Personal attacks will not be tolerated. People are to be adressed with their name or the respective titles. "The lady with the ridiculously long-winded, hyphenated name" is none of such, and the Minority Leader should learn to use proper language in Parliament. Graham Breckinridge MP Speaker of Parliament OOC: Yes, I intentionally make him a bit of a biased Speaker to incite the ire of the left :P |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I take your point and apologise for any offence. In future I will simply refer to the Honourable Lady as "Gwendolyn Hayforth-Breckinridge" and allow my comrades to draw the obvious conclusion... Leticia Saldanas MP Minority Leader |
