Bill: Education reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2158
Description[?]:
The HPP thinks it is time for reform in the sectors concerning education. Our values and competent knowledge must be teached to our descendants, so they themselves can embrace the power of knowledge. Furthermore we see the school as an institution used to enligthen children in the Hobrazian history and as before, in our values. We also call for equality, therefore we see sense in saving money on subsidises to students who can support themselves. We want to use these money on more charitable purpposes. We know some of the money will be paid back, but want to use the surplus on other causes at present. |

Message | We can agree with the first two articles, though not the third. |
Date | 11:11:58, December 19, 2005 CET | From | United Blobs | To | Debating the Education reform |
Message | Article 1 - No. There are children whose needs are better fufilled through home schoolin Article 2 - Means tested loans save our government money and only affect graduates once they are earning enough to be able to afford the repayments. Article 3 - We cannot force a love of our country on our children. By trying to do so you risk creating resentment and causing the opposite effect to that planned |
Date | 14:19:01, December 19, 2005 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Education reform |
Message | Article 1 - Yes. It makes sense as eduction provided by fully trained professionals is far superior than that taught by untrained parents. We also believe that home schooled children lose many of the choices abilities that can only be taught in an environment of their peers. Aticle 2 - No (see UBs answer). Article 3 - See above. |
