Description[?]:
Access to Higher Education should be a right, not a privilege, and more and more people should be encouraged to seek higher education and vocational qualifications throughout their life, no matter how old or experienced they may be. In order to create a more educated and more prosperous society, we need to open up access to higher education for all, with fully subsidized tuition for students at a new range of public universities that we plan to construct across the Empire. Yet we should also not discourage the development of a private sector in higher education, and our reforms intend to allow private corporations to establish their own universities and schools by allowing them the power of self-regulation. I feel this approach establishes a balanced approach to higher education , with free, public institutions sitting alongside, and working with, the private sector to further the education of our people. |
