Bill: National Anthem in Schools Policy 3512

Details

Submitted by[?]: Jelbénkai Utrji Spjogad

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3513

Description[?]:

The Cosmopolitan Alliance sees no reason to continue forcing children in schools to sing the national anthem. Love of one's country should arise organically, and never be forced upon someone.

We also feel it is a poor use of educational time, and though we accept that children should be allowed to perform national anthems at school events should they so wish, that any child who does not want to take part (or any parent who does not want their child to take part) should have their wishes respected.

MessagePress release via Robert Samuel Levi, Chairman JSP:

While the Party fundamentally disagrees with Cosmopolitan Alliance's rationale in the creation of this bill, we do see the current national anthem as a means of pilfering the young minds of our children unto a life of subservience toward the monarchy.

Athough the JSP currently holds no seats within Parliament, it is nigh an excuse to continue with inaction. We endorse this bill as a means of resistance; furthering our goal toward the abolishment of the imperialist system present within Jelbania.
