Bill: Immigration Restriction Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Civic Justice

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3513

Description[?]:

We believe that Zardugal's current legislative position of allowing unlimited immigration is completely unsustainable and only serves to take jobs away from hard working citizens and creates unwanted social tension between natives and immigrants.

It is self evident that immigrations should be controlled so that it is beneficial to the host nation. As such we propose that Zardugal introduces immigration quotas based on individual applicant's qualifications. By doing so we will still gain the positive contributions of immigrants who have skills we lack while restricting potential immigrants who would take jobs from natives or come solely to rely on our welfare system without contributing their fair share.

Random fact: Real-life quotations may be used in Particracy, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation.

Random quote: "The Revolution needs to progress. We as humans need to evolve into higher beings through better moral virtues. And we can achieve that if we clean ourselves from the immoral. Those who go against the Revolution, go against human progress and must be freed in the most humane way possible. That is why we introduced the guillotine." - Maximus Robertson, former Davostani revolutionary
