Bill: Restoring national sovereignty act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3514

Description[?]:

The hands of the legislators of Dranland are currently tied by the shackles of treaties we signed that gave up our national sovereignty at the hands of supranational pseudo-communist institutions. These even forbid us from dictating our own border policies, the people are rightly worried about the fact that the Hulstrian regime are to decide who we let into our country and not. We must once again be allowed to decide our own future, as other peoples are.

MessageMr. Speaker,

You have no right to come here and suggest that we withdrawal from so many agreements. And even more shocking are your suggestions to abandon the treaties that stand against slavery and torture.

You have no understanding of human rights or of international relations. I'd suggest you leave foreign policy to educated policymakers.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Foreign minister shows his disdain for ordinary decent people by telling us that we need to sign treaties written by foreign slave-masters to not keep things like slavery illegal. This is a democratic country and I don't have to take orders from representatives of gook militant nationalist organizations. The people deserves to have their freedom to choice their own future back and I suggest that the honourable foreign minister to pack his back and leave, along with the rest of the parasitic life-forms.

MessageMr Speaker,

We only support withdrawal from Article 2 and possibly 3, the rest of the articles have protected Dranland from some of the more extreme free market impulses some members of our governments generally have.

MessageMr. Speaker, we believe that anti-slavery treaties are a stong symbolic stand against the horrid institution of slavery. While it is fairly obvious that withdrawing from this treaty would not lead to the introduction of slavery in Dranland, it doesn't hurt to affirm, at any convenient opportunity, that slavery is something that we are not willing to tolerate, not just in Dranland, but anywhere.
