Bill: Government Is Not Pure And The Like, Keep It Off From Media
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalizt Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2158
Description[?]:
In an attempt to liberate popular Media from government business, and in the same time guaranteeing a satisfying level of culture, we propose to privatize the nationalized TV and Radio sector and to let them be run by non profit indipendent cooperatives, with no government incentive at all. Non profit coops, having no interest in profit at all, will instead take great incentive from competition to make more cultured programs, substituting the popular capitalistic equation "Competition + Money = Profit" with a more mild but still effective "Competition - Money = Culture". Although it will be missed the primary propellent for high competition, money, having multiple companies dealing with national media should be a good incentive too. Instead, State owned Media is like a big Monopolized Company. How could have it interest in making highly cultured programs? It's not just because its owner is called 'State'. |
