Message | We propose to: 1. Seperate out the Head of State and Head of Government as seperate positions, creating a new Prime Minister position and in doing so make our system more parliamentary. 2. Allocate seats to regions based on population size, rather than the current system which unfairly overrepresents depopulated regions and underrepresents populated ones. 3. Double the length of the parliamentary term. At the current length of the term almost half the parliament is taken up by coalition negotiations or a in which legislation cannot be presented as it will be thrown into debate by the election. 4. Reducing the number of seats in parliament. Let us reduce the costs of politics. We do not need 750 MPs to run our legislature! |

Message | The ALP would like to see a change in quotas added to this bill We would suggest that the upper cap for storage of proposals be upped, and the distribution level be lowered, the ALP would suggest lowering proposals would encourage smarter bill making. |
Date | 07:23:54, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Hizb Al-Ahrar (Liberal Party) | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | Agree with article 1 & 2. OOC: However, the reason for 750 seats is because it best represents the popular vote. Also I'd recommend 42 months as that is one week IRL. |

Message | Agree with all bar the 750 reduction. I think the proposal quota is fine as it is. |
Date | 12:04:05, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Justice, Development and Freedom | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | We have removed the reduction in seats and added some proposals regarding legislative proposals. Do we have consensus? |
Date | 12:47:54, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Hizb Al-Ahrar (Liberal Party) | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | I still think lowering the legislative term to 42 months is ideal as it then last a week in real life, as opposed to 8 days. |
Date | 13:13:07, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Progressive Conservative Party | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | The Progressive Conservatives are against lowering the number of seats for certain regions and therefore reducing their voice in Parliament. We also express concern over the longer term of the executive and legislature. Articles 1, 4 & 5 are however sensible proposals. |

Message | I'm agreed on these proposals. |
Date | 16:28:34, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Justice, Development and Freedom | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | Justice, Development and Freedom feels a legislative term of 3.5 years is inherently a 'bit weird'. Yes, that is our official stance. We'd prefer either 48 months or 36 months to 42. On the different weightings for the provinces point, it is worth noting that it will make barely any difference as the provinces are all roughly equal in size anyway. However, we feel it is a point of fairness that all votes should hold, as close as possible, an equal value. |

Message | Shall we begin voting on this then? I think we have near enough a consensus... |
Date | 19:03:32, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Justice, Development and Freedom | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | Due to our desire for consensus, we shall wait a little longer for consensus, but if there are no more responses we will push forward to a vote shortly. |

Message | I am happy to agree to longer terms, just 42 months is the most convenient out of the possible options in my opinion. |

Date | 19:37:33, July 17, 2013 CET | From | Justice, Development and Freedom | To | Debating the Constitutional Reform Proposal |
Message | Due to negotiations with the ALP, and bowing to the honestly held opinion of the Liberal Party we accede to the desire for a 3.5 year term. For what it's worth Justice, Development and Freedom's constitutional advisor stated that 'those fellas are crazy, yo' |
