Bill: The Marriage Amendment II
Details
Submitted by[?]: Benevolent Totalitarian Party - FLF
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2051
Description[?]:
Unnatural and perverted sexual practices can severely damage the order of our society, as they encourage (and serve as symbols of) disobedience. To strengthen moral values, combat promiscuity and protect the nuclear family on which our culture and national identity are based, we propose that marriage should be defined and recognized only as a bond between a man and a woman. We have proposed this bill once before, prior to the recent elections, and it was rejected. Now we are bringing it before the new Board of Advisors. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy toward marriage.
Old value:: The government allows all consenting adults to obtain civil marriage contracts.
Current: The government allows all consenting adults to obtain civil marriage contracts.
Proposed: The government only recognises civil marriages between a man and a woman.

Message | I am still opposed to this bill as marriage licenses involve tax brackets and incentives. A religious institution should not have to marry couples it doesn't wish too but all couples regardless of sexual orientation are entitled to the same civil privledges. |

Message | I agree with the PPP. This is blatant discrimination. |
