Message | Mr. Speaker, Why would the presence of private health care clinics be discriminatory against the poor? They treat their patients with the care that they pay for; for those that find themselves unable to pay for such care, they can use the public, governmental health care system. The system is currently setup such that it allows private practices, while ensuring a standard of care free of charge for all citizens. We see no reason to change it. I yield. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is fantastic and needs to be implemented--everyone deserves universal care--there should be no barriers like cost in healthcare. |

Message | Mr Speaker, I would like to contest the argument made by the Winter Palace Movement's leader. It is clear how discrimination is caused by private clinics. Did my opposition not say so himself? The fact that one person should have access to better care simply because of their wage is apalling. For small services, I can understand. You choose to accept a worse quality product for less money. For healthcare, the idea sickens me. Do you think people choose to fall sick or injured? Many may have done so through the actions of others, yet they are treated to inferior care. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
