MessageI would agree with this bill entirely, except for Article One. Adoption should be left to private organizations, not the government.

MessageThe government is involved to ensure that only good families are being created through adoption and so that adoption rates stay low, allowing for more adoptions. Leaving adoption to the private industry is dangerous, especially when it's one of the only parts of the healthcare industry that isn't nationalized.

MessageI wouldn't consider adoption part of the healthcare system. I believe that adoption will be much more efficient if the private sector handles it, and not to mention charitable industries, such as churches and philanthropists.

MessageThe Liberty Party supports an efficient but responsible government. Providing free healthcare, education, and freedom under law for everybody living in Telamon are among many of the responsibilities of our government. Making sure our congressmen are well-fed and well-paid is a luxury. Furthermore, the reason we place adoption under healthcare is because when children are in adoption centers, unlike children born to their parents, they're currently waiting for a family and require care. Therefore the nationalized healthcare system should be involved in the process of adoption.

MessageI will vote against this bill unless some consensus on adoption can be reached. As a compromise, I propose that instead of the current provision, the Liberty Party should propose a middle ground.

MessageHow about we allow local governments to decide adoption policy? Therefore, the federal government can subsidize local governments who choose to have their adoption under government authority, and other local governments can choose to leave it to established organizations.
