Message | It's bullshit. Abolish the official religion or change it. This bill doesn't reflect Lodamese Nationalism. What or who would children be praying to? Prayer doesn't need to be involved in this at all. Prayer is not a part of the religion that was established as the official state religion. What "religious communities" will bear the expenses of ministers' salaries, when the point of having these ministers is to spread pro-government messages? The point of the established religion was to make "religion" itself an arm of the government. We're hiring them; we should pay them. Does the state nominate ministers to itself to appoint? Does that make sense? The religion is about the state. What other/private communities would be responsible for their appointment? The citizens elect us, the representatives, already. The Prince (on behalf of us when we reach a consensus) can appoint the ministers. We also think the clothing part goes too far. -- Edwin Fertig, LNP Leader |
