Description[?]:
This bill seeks to protect women's rights over their own bodies and their own futures by altering current contraceptive legislation. Firstly we propose to make it legal for a women to undergo an abortion in the first two trimesters of her pregnancy. Yet due to religious concerns we also propose that local government decides whether or not abortion operations should receive any funding from the state - this way the regions can tailor their own approach rather than trying to adapt to a one-size-fits-all rule. Of course birth control is a lot more than Abortion, and preventative contraception is key to stop further problems arising in the future. For this reason we also want to see the government introduce a sizeable subsidy for contraceptives - a move we think will save our society time and money in the long term. |
