Message- Finance spending has been scaled-down. If the financial services sector believes so strongly in free market and minimal government spending then they should get a feeling for what their beliefs actually mean.

- Defence spending has also been slashed. We are in peacetime, the current defence budget is unjustifiable.

- Infrastructure spending has been increased. This will not only provide better services, homes, and roads, but will also create jobs which will boost the economy.

- Health spending has almost doubled. It is our ambition for Lodamun to be the healthiest nation in the world. We also feel people would prefer to have better health services than a bloated military that will never be used.

- Education spending has been increased too. We have a duty to educate our children, for they are the future. It is our ambition for the Lodamese educational system to develop world-class intellectuals, scientists, mathematicians, businessmen, engineers etc.

- Science spending has also been increased. We promise to continue to increase science spending. We believe that Lodamun should be more innovative and be in a position to be able to develop life-changing technologies and scientific breakthroughs.

Instead of a country with an over-mighty military that is never used Lodmun will become a country with a compassionate government, a country with great health and educational services - things the people care about.

MessageMr. Chairman,

We will make our response.

Finance Spending is necessary to manipulate the international markets in our favour, and to subsidize banks that offer low interest rates.

Our military spending is already substandard. We will not be able to afford to defend ourselves under this new budget. Valruzia's military spending, alone, is double ours. Our military spending is about 55% of the world average. How will we remain a military power? We are the envy of many nations in Terra; we have to protect our borders. Our Defence Spending was already lower than the world's average before this budget; this budget only makes it worse.

MessageLodamun currently has good relations with Valruzia, they are no threat to this nation. In fact, they are our friends.

If any of our neighbours did declare war on us then of course, we would have to increase defence spending. However, the fact is that we are in peacetime, and the people would like their taxes spent on more important things like health and education.

From this debate we can only conclude that the National Republican Guard is scaremongering about a false threat in a desperate bid to win votes. I must say that if the National Republican Guard continues to falsely accuse Valruzia of being a threat to our sovereignty then maybe Valruzia will become offended by such accusations.

MessageMr. Chairman,

Nowhere did we paint Valruzia as a threat. Instead, we believed that their current government is much better than ours, and that we should try to take tips from them. Unless we're going to accuse them of being paranoid and overprotective, we should admit that their spending is a good amount. If their spending is a good amount, why can't ours be?

MessageWhether Valruzia's military spending is a "good amount" or not is a matter of opinion. However, we will continue to co-operate and shared ideas with Valruzia. However, I must make clear that we are Lodamun, not Valruzia.

Likewise, we are weak, not strong.
