Bill: The Rutanian Military SELF-Sufficency Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3535
Description[?]:
The PEOPLE of Rutania overwhelmingly support CAPITALISM as it is a more DEMOCRATIC economic system than Governmental Socialism. However, the people have COMMON-SENSE and would indeed SUPPORT our Military if it were SELF-sufficient being able to produce its OWN weapons and infrastructure instead instead of UN-necessarily "contracting out" to private defense contractors who charge ENORMOUS "overhead" costs via profits when the Rutanian TAXPAYERS could actually SAVE billions of RUT. In a nutshell, this bill is NOT "socialism," but is simply FISCAL-conservativism. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Whenever the government "runs" or "controls" something, it is therefore Socialism. Why does the CWF seem to hate the private sector? They can do a much better job at creating weapons for us than the government ever can. Marta Wilson UPR Congressional Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, A similar question could be asked: Why does the UPR hate socialism? Why does the UPR believe that capitalism necessarily trumps socialism in each and every case? M. Ridgeway-Bates SS Dep. Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The government does nothing in an efficient way. This will simply increase bureaucracy and government control over Rutania. Harold McNeil Deputy Chairman, MLR |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Please inform the members of the MLR and UPR that this current bill does NOT make PRIVATE defense contractors "illegal" as would be the DEFINITION of socialism. It is just FISCALLY-conservative b/c the Minister of Defense who controls the Army can just HIRE engineers and workers from another PRIVATE firm by offering them a HIGHER salary as an incentive, and thereby produce the weapons and infrastructure DIRECTLY without paying expensive OVERHEAD costs (i.e. "profit"). Do those engineers who use to work for the Private Defense contractor at "Boeing" (in Ardina) REALLY care who is their employer whether it is Boeing or the Minister of Defense ESPECIALLY if the Minister of Defense is going to pay them a 10% HIGHER salary??? :O Of course, we think even the CONSERVATIVE citzens would take the HIGHER-paying job and just use the "extra 10% income" in donating to their CONSERVATIVE political parties of their choosing. ;) In addition, we must respectfully inform the UPR that they actually voted AGAINST a law (of which we sponsored) that respects INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS which is the CORNERSTONE of a Free-Market Capitalist Society. And the UPR (with the MLR) actually voted AGAINST a law that was sponsored by our party that established SOUND Rutanian money backed by a commodity of VALUE instead of the "word of Government officials" (FIAT currency) which is another CORNERSTONE of a Free-Market Capitalist Society and LIMITED Government. ----The CWFP |
