Message | We would consider the removal of the hereditary aspect of the titles, but we believe that the power to grant said is an excellent way to reward extraordinary service to the state. |

Message | We disagree. Our belief is that title of nobility put certain citizens higher up than others. Public commendations should be enough to award anyone who truly cares about the state. |

Message | That is correct. Those who perform extraordinary services to the state are put up higher; all the easier for the other citizens to see and emulate them. |

Message | Hm...perhaps you do have a point. Very well, titles of nobility may stay on three conditions: (1) they are hitherto referred to as "Titles of Comradeship"; (2) all who receive these titles are titled simply as "Brave Citizen"; and (3) they receive no privileges other than said title. |

Message | Condition 1, I have no problem with. Number 2 I feel that there should be varying degrees of titles, depending on the level of importance of the service. Therefore, a single, one size fits all title is not sufficient in my opinion. On number 3, I am torn. In a real and perfect world, the recognition of the State would be sufficient reward. Unfortunately, in the real world people respond better to recognition and reward than to just recognition. As I said initially, I have no problem with removing the hereditary portion of titles; in fact, upon reflection, I fully support that since the noble actions of one's ancestors has no bearing on your situation. I do, however, think that leaving ce4rtain minor rights associated with the titles is a good idea. |

Message | It depends what you mean by "minor rights"? |

Message | I am thinking of things along the line of special seating in the visitors galleries of the legislature, reserved parking at certain government buildings, invitations to government sponsored functions, and thing like that of a primarily social nature. I am not suggesting any kind of Lord/Serf relationship or allowing them to raise private armies. |
