Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, food labeling is an important provision to ensure transparency on the market, but the current policies are over the top. There is no need to force companies to blight their package designs with 'easily understandable' labels or even to compile a diet plan for customers by providing 'corresponding nutritional information'. Message | Mr Speaker, I have to say this move is reckless and potentially a massive job and profits killer. One of Dranland's greatest economic sectors is the fishing industry. Dranish products are known for quality and popularly globally. If labels were to be suddenly mangled as the Minister wants to do, customers would lose much confidence in our fishing and other food exports while our fisheries will face devastating job cuts. Message | Mr Speaker, if the Hon. Gentleman's assessment is correct then companies will certainly maintain their labeling as it is without government coercion. What is in their self-interest will be done by entrepreneurs, they don't government to tell them. Erin Woodward MP Member for Elbian Minister of Trade and Industry |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
