Bill: The Centralization of Foreign Intervention Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Guiding Light Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3544

Description[?]:

As seen through the years, the nature of all governments is to fall. And as seen through the years, the nature of all humanity is self-servant. The logical conclusion of both these facts is that at any time someone may seek the collapse of a government to pursue their own desires. Our government is no exception, past leaders have made an amount of foreign enemies through the years, and even a nation acting like a friend may be plotting our downfall. In the interest of this nation, and in order to prolong the lifespan of our great country, this bill mandates the creation of the Ministry of Liktonian Contact (MLC). This proposed ministry will be the, democratically elected, heart of this nations foreign policy, and will be tasked with the maintaining of Liktonian culture, and government, through the facilitation of all foreign contact. The proposed ministry will promote a peaceful, and long-lasting, Liktonian nation. Vote for the Liktonia!

MessageWe already have the Cabinet level Department of Foreign Affairs, which is doing an excellent job of facilitating foreign contact. We therefore see no need to creating, in the words of a great leader of the mythological past, "bureaus without number, so that any creature who flyeth, crawleth, or voteth may be blessed with patronage, each in his own precinct".

Random fact: There are two countries based on Egypt in the game. Cobura is based on modern Egypt with a retro twist, while Hawu Mumenhes is based on Ancient Egypt with a modernist twist.

Random quote: Wait a min was we tricked into voting for absolute monarchy (Jamie Jamesson, Chancellor of Luthori 4269-4310)
