Bill: Pension Age and Youth Employment Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: United People's Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3553
Description[?]:
Reducing the retirement age from 68 back to 65. This is particularly important, because it has been seen, that a longer retirement age eats up most of the potential job openings for a longer time, or a gap period which gets longer and keeps other people out of jobs until someone retires. This has been directly affecting the younger generation. They are our future, and we cannot afford to keep them unemployed or dissatisfied in their early years. Now, pension costs would increase as a result, sure. But lowering it to just 65 and not too drastically further down would practically be a healthier option for our experienced personnel, and anyway we will continue to be on revenue surplus even after this. |
