Bill: Tax Policy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Movement for the Progress of Lodamun
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3554
Description[?]:
It is necessary to reduce the corporate income tax, and tax on basic food items. All the lack of money that occurs, will be offset by the cutting of certain rights of the political elite. We should not forget that we are here for the citizens, and the fact that the current political machine is too large and a big spender. |

Message | That will put us into debt until we come up with a new budget. You have to cut spending before you cut taxes. After we cut taxes now, what will fund our current budget until we come up with a new one? We can't wait until after the bill passes before we pass a new budget. -- George Martin, Chairman of the NRG, Finance Minister, Vice President of Lodamun |

Message | Our spending is for the people who put us here as well, isn't it? My party doesn't support any budget cuts right now, but you can tell me what sectors you prefer to cut and I'll put it together and propose it to the congress, Mr. President. http://classic.particracy.net/budget.php?nationid=19 -- George Martin, Chairman of the NRG, Finance Minister, Vice President of Lodamun |

Message | Why we spend 1 billion on Head of Government each year, 20 billion for Defence, when we have part time army. We spend same amount of money for Foreign Affairs and Finance Ministry. Why you need 3.5 billion fo Finance Department. |

Message | Our currency is stronger in KRV (Karav Reserve Currency) when we have high Finance spending. Because of our policies, we have the highest GDP in the world when measured in KRV. We spend a lot of money on arms, equipment, and vehicles for our military. We have a part-time military that is supposed to be in alignment with private groups. We need to keep these groups aligned to us, by buying their favour. Our military would be much stronger if we legalised paramilitaries instead of limiting them to "private security firms" like rent-a-cops in other countries. Our police force is also made up of these private groups, with the power to arrest. Here are some of our policies: National Military Policy: "The government retains a part time, professional army, navy and air force in alignment with paramilitary groups." http://classic.particracy.net/viewvariable.php?variable=NATIONAL_MILITARY_POLICY National Police Department: "The government competitively subcontracts security management to private security firms." http://classic.particracy.net/viewvariable.php?variable=POLICE The nation's policy on the separation of the police and the military: "The military acts as a de-facto police force, with powers of arrest." http://classic.particracy.net/viewvariable.php?variable=MILITARY_POLICE What we need to do is legalise paramilitaries but keep them heavily regulated, so our money won't go to waste. Do you want cuts in these areas? -- George Martin, Chairman of the NRG, Finance Minister, Vice President of Lodamun |
