MessageThe concern of population decline is tremendous, but I do not think risking our national security and integrity this way is appreciable...Citizenship to any and all means there 'could' be some that are being given a legally allowed free-hand in propagating their otherwise illegal/unrecognized anti-nationalist/terrorist activities. Or some that may find integration with our nation's cultures difficult, or difficult for our people to get along with them. That matters too right, unless we want to strike a social revolt of sorts now!

MessageBut it's citizenship to all nationals. This mean's people that have been born here or have been naturalized. I think it's a fair proposal and doesn't threaten any sort of way of life.

MessageNo, encarta...This means citizenship to all 'nationals', i.e. people of all other countries, that's the meaning of nationals, without any formalization through birth or naturalization. What you're talking about is already granted to all 'our nationals', but this proposal talks about granting citizenship to 'all nationals, means all people from all nations without restrictions (tests) that are in place now!' The subtle yet large difference in wording!

MessageBorn here, or though naturalization, and through several other measures, people are 'our nationals' already. 'All nationals' mean people of 'all nations', simply put! That;s a terrible measure I am sure you can not accept too! I hope you have not understood it wrong to be supporting this.

MessageOfcourse , this bill is not perfect but in the short run it is necessary. We need to strengthen our security systems to stop any problems from happening ofcourse but it will surely push up our economy more. So request everyone to please reconsider.

MessageThere were opinions from a 100% population to have a separate HoG and HoS. You possibly think we should do these!

And many more like these!
You think these must be respected too, we'd be a classic banana republic then!
these opinion 'polls', they're pretty much distractions for the parties,
there are real 'opinions' on the nation's page and that of each state! opinions keep swinging with time and who knows, could even be influenced! Find out what's best for the country through people's real opinions, and even if its polls, only choose the ones that are too strongly true to let go!

MessageIt is unfair to put every issue under a single bench mark.

Everything has its good and negative sides. Although I understand and respect your point.

But for example if I reverse the issue, just because UPP is paranoid about the seprate HoG and HoS doesnt necessary mean its a bad idea.

MessageI am asking you to pass this bill if you agree its strong points. The opinion poll is made to strengthen my points and present the peoples view. Which we are supposed to do in the Parliament

MessageAs you had mentioned, I am not pin-pointing on that one issue. As long as parties are in support of it, we will go that way even if that means a tedious administrative work and additional expenses etc. But, as I said, polls keep changing. In fact, past polls showed more than half wanting a single HoG and HoS, please find the news, was too old for me to remember the year!
You may find a new one sometime later with something else!
So we go by the original political opinions displayed to us as well our gut feeling of right!

MessageAnd as we have mentioned, we find more points to be concerned about than supportive ones, although we respect your intentions and will.
You have so many other measures to resort to, regarding the population decline problem. Why go with such a possibly adverse-effect causing one then

MessageI never mentioned that there too much concerns in my bill. I said should there be any concerns (national security) it will also be possible to neutralize any threads. Overall I believe opening our borders is a win win situtaion :)

MessageNo, we've mentioned the concerns that come if this is passed. Trying to neutralize threats if any, yes we already are, but this would just spoil it all in one shot!
