| While it is not in our nature, we have made an attempt at compromise, in order that we could convince the HDV to pass this measure. While we realise we have radically different view on which strikes are good, we do believe that they believe that sometimes a strike is the only option left to a group of workers, but that current legislation makes a strike essentially impossible, and that we impose such a restriction on workers, while flouting it ourselves. If we say to the Unions that they must a majority of their members, voting or not, to say yes, why is that we do not impose such restrictions in Parliament? Why is it that we do not reject election results with low turnout? Why can one be justified and the other not? |

Old value:: Trade unions must by law hold a ballot of all members before going on strike, a majority of all members, regardless of if they vote or not must approve the strike action.
