| The official calendar used in Aldegar is the Shahanshahi (Imperial) Calendar, based on the RL Zoroastrian Shahanshahi Calendar and the Solar Hijri Calendar. The first year of the calendar is 709 BCE, the death of Prophet Shapur. The letters "SS" for "Shahanshahi" are sometimes added at the end. The most common format of the calendar is as follows: "8th of Azar 4473 SS" (corresponding to November 28, 3764).
