Truly honorable citizens are content with the record of their deeds and the acclimation of their fellows, and do not require the shallow validation of a state-sanctioned honorific. THe HDV can try to hang famous names and actions on this backward policy as they please, but it is nothing more than a throw-back to the same anti-democratic forces they claim to so despise, in spirit if not in absolute.
