Bill: OOC: Resolving the Clark, Greenmir, and Grainger Legal Dispute

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand Liberal Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3579

Description[?]:

OOC:

The issue could be referred to the Supreme Court, rules below:

http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=292015

However note that Justices serve 21 years terms

Justices are appointed, in a staggered manor by the Head of State and approved by the House

The Liberals controlled both of these from 3546 - 3573 - 28 years

Therefore on the Liberals leaving office in 3573, every one of the Justices on the Court would have been Liberal appointed and therefore sympathetic to our cause. Since terms are staggered - the RS Doge would have been able to appoint 1, maybe 2 all the most.

So the current court make up would be a 5 / 2 Liberal majority at least.

Like I say we can take this rp to the court or come up with an alternative ending

MessageOOC: Sorry I got to long. I've been busy with relief efforts since the typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda hit my country. Now, I am back and yes you could let the Supreme Court take it. All the courts aside from the Supreme Court is Guild-controlled, duh...this why I chose Pinara to be capital, Shinatawa and its cities are hard core Guild members.

Not sure I agree with the comment about all the courts aside from the Supreme Court being Guild-controlled. What would the basis of this be

You guys should have probably set up the Supreme Court the way Lodamun did.
We have a set way of calculating ours, and which players control how many judges.
