MessageMr. Speaker,

First you propose oddly proportioned increases to the overall budget, reversing some of the lunacy of Gary Donnely's reign in finance. Now you are reversing your own increases and slashing the budget across the board.

I believe its about time that the Prime Minister admit to Parliament that he has no idea what he's doing.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I can assure the KDF gentleman that we have a very clear idea indeed of what we are doing: reversing the gross and unnecessary spending splurge undertaken by the previous PPD/Unity government and their Metzist allies. It is the socialists' increases we are reversing. They implemented them - not us!

MessageMr Speaker,

Although I and my party strongly support the aims of this budget, namely to reduce government spending to sustainable levels so taxes can be reduced, it has been the longstanding policy of the Popular Party that we will not support any increases in the defence budget whilst reducing vital budgets like education and foreign affairs. It is simply unfair to be increasing spending on tanks and warships while our children are not being educated policy. It is, therefore, with great regret, that the PP will be forced to vote against this budget.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I am naturally disappointed by the Popular Party's decision, but respect their reasons for making it. I encourage them to table a budget proposal of their own, so we can get on with the business of reducing excessive public spending.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
