Message | If a child wants to work then let him, there is nothing forcing the children to work. The schooling however should be mandatory to keep our people well informed and educated |

Message | Letting children work puts a negative influence on workers' wages, because bosses will more easily employ children on a lower wage, and expect the same working conditions for adults. Also, by this, a situation is created in wich children in poor families will be pushed sooner to get to work; whilst rich kids can go longer to school. These are reasons why the workers movement has always put forward the necessity of abolishing child labour, and mandatory education. |

Message | If education and the option to work are both available what is the point in forcing the issue on the populace? Furthermore I disagree: Children are usually only hired to perform the most unskilled of labor and they are less efficient than adults which is why they are paid less. Bosses can expect whatever conditions they want, but I would imagine if they want to stay in business they will hire only the most able child or otherwise. In any case your position is contradictory, if a child is able to compete in the working world among adults, then what use has he for school? |

Message | Opposed. I've stated my objection, We're willing to support this bill if instead, you make education free, rather than compulsory, and that child labour is regulated differently than adults. |

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
