Bill: Sexkjøpsloven
Details
Submitted by[?]: De venstregrønne
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3581
Description[?]:
De venstregrønne sees prostitution as a harmful social phenomenon that reinforces men's dominance over women. We propose therefore in this bill that: Article 1: Women involved in prostitution are not criminalised and receive support from government programmes that aim to help them find an alternative source of income and deal with any underlying problems in their lives. Article 2: The purchase of sex is made a criminal offence punishable by a fine and/or up to 1 year in prison. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The right for a person to prostitute himself or herself.
Old value:: Prostitution regulation decisions are left up to local governments.
Current: Prostitution is legal and a recognized profession.
Proposed: Prostitution is illegal.
