MessageMr. Speaker,

This can destroy the late-night entertainment industry. We understand the NDF's concerns for security, but we would like to add that practicality must be considered. While we favour a mostly strong and secure state, there may be social unrest if we do not keep the people distracted through entertainment and other madness. Our view on this is shared on this bill as well: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=397197

If we placate and comfort the people, they are easier to control. If we have a rigid system and expect them to be robots, they will rebel. We are a party that wants a strong government for the people, but not necessarily above the people.

We support Article 5. Article 4 is negotiable, but we cannot support Article 6.

Random fact: Particracy is set in the fictional world of Terra, which mirrors the real world of today and yet is not quite like it.

Random quote: “Where would the weapons and equipment come from once you've banned the defence industry? Will we be defended by all your hippy people hurling potatoes and cabbages?” - Margaret Woodhall, former Dranian politician
