Description[?]:

[PREAMBLE]
While Rutania has not been the recipient of a terrorist attack, our history suggests that we have had organizations and people who wish to cause our way of life harm. With that in mind, we feel that it is the duty of the government to protect its citizens from people and/or groups whose sole purpose is to interrupt the Rutanian way of life by causing mass chaos.

Therefore, we present the Combating and Eliminating Rogue Institutions and Peoples Act (CERIP Act) as a means to deal with enemies of the state internally.

MessageThe Democratic Front does not support Article 1 which has great scope for misuse, internally Rutania is a safe country and hence we need not spy on our own citizens.
Warantless raids and taps would make us a rogue police state and the Democratic Front Vehemently opposes this bill.

This bill is necessary for protecting Rutania from home grown terrorism. I can assure the honorable member from the DF that the government will not abuse this power for their own good.

MessageMr Speaker,
This bill will give the government nearly unlimited power to meddle with personal affairs of people, also the leader of DF believes that Rutania being one of the richest states and one of the most economically developed states does not face any threat from homegrown terrorist organisations.

MessageMr. Speaker,

In the interest of democracy and not wishing to jam legislation as complex and polarizing as this through the Parliament without further debate, the UPR will vote against this bill. We intend on re-proposing similar legislation, but will allow even more time for debate.

The UPR is taking advantage of this political deadlock to push through a bill that can be deemed illegal by all means. The DF shall oppose this move in the Parliament by any and all means.
